ERROR on OPTION when copied from other product
We have discovered when copying a product that has options assigned to it, that it retains the copied product SKU.
Example:
when someone wanted to order stencil 3720 5 mil but in 10 mil, the SKU changed from 3720 to 3715E instead to 3720E, 3715 was the product we copied from. On the Option we have the "E" being added to the regular SKU. If we build without using copy it works fine.
This has created a lot of wrong orders being shipped.

You posted this as a feature request, which we are OK to leave in case other merchants prefer to have the SKU excluded from a product copy.
However, this is how it's always worked so I don't believe it was ever considered a bug or error in the application. Imagine a merchant who had hundreds of options that were setup with a SKU. He/She may want to have those copied in order to avoid mass replication by hand. It's hard to say how someone is going to use the product copy feature, so we just make an exact copy of everything.
