Zendesk Helpdesk Integration
It would be great to have an integration between Ablecommerce and Zendesk ( https://www.zendesk.com ) in a similar way to how Magento does it ( https://www.zendesk.com/apps/magento/ ). Being able to see in the Ablecommerce admin the open tickets and ticket history of a customer would be a real timesaver as opposed to having to have both ablecommerce and zendesk screens open and searching for people in both systems. Maybe even down the road open the order notes feature up to being able to create tickets in Zendesk.
I would be open to moving to JitBit from Zendesk if it means tighter integration with Able Commerce. I found this tidbit on their website:
Migrate from Zendesk
Jitbit Helpdesk has a built-in tool that will help you migrate most of your data over from Zendesk. You can find it in the admin panel – "Import and Export" – "Import from Zendesk".
You will need to enter your Zendesk URL and admin credentials to start the import.
The import does the following:
We import all Zendesk users – ticket submitters, techs and admins – without saving their permissions. They will be imported as regular users.
Then we import all your tickets. The tickets will be created in the default category in Jitbit (set in "General Settings"). All tickets will be imported as closed despite their current status in Zendesk.
Finally, we will import all the ticket replies (comments), but we can't import your attachments.
No email notifications would be sent to anyone at any time during the import process.
Nothing about Macros - which we have many.
Zendesk is a PHP application. We recently implemented a helpdesk for our own site. We chose https://www.jitbit.com/ because it is written in Asp.Net which means we were able to use a single login between our application and theirs.
Another good selling point is that you don't have to pay month-to-month forever. You can purchase the software and host it along side AbleCommerce.
I'm sure we will be tightening our integration over time. Then eventually, it will probably be part of AbleCommerce feature set. In the meantime, if anyone is interested in checking out our new support desk, you can go to this URL and open a test ticket.
The order notes is very limited and having the ability to expand on it would be useful. If somehow we can incorporate Zendesk in order notes that would be nice.
We need better support on the back end to deal with customer issues and integrating Zendesk with Able Commerce would be very useful. Please review this feature.
