Remove bug when hit "enter" key
I am frustrated when I hit the enter key after typing an entry in the search bar and I'm immediately returned to the homescreen.
This bug has been fixed.

Thank you for the clarification, Katie!

Using R9, I can enter a coupon in the field and hit enter. The message indicates the coupon was accepted. This is fixed in R9, however, there may be places in the Admin where using the Enter key has unexpected results. For this issue, our focus was to correct places in the retail side only because customers may use the enter key instead of the button. For AbleCommerce merchants, please use the button as indicated in the documentation. This issue is fixed for the store side pages. If there are other cases, in Gold R9, then please submit them as bug reports instead of feature requests.

Hi Katie - I am still seeing this issue persistently. For each field affected, I pulled the associated conlib files from the most current version of R9 and replaced the ones with the issue on one of our development sites. In testing, there are two areas that still display the issue.
#1 Admin/People/Users. To repeat: In the Quick Search area, enter a few characters and an asterisk in any of the following fields - company, first name, last name, user name. Now hit the enter key. Instead of filtered results displayed in the Matching Users section below, you are instead returned to the Dashboard page. It is interesting that the email field is NOT affected in this way. If you enter a few characters and an asterisk, then hit the enter key, filtered results display as expected.
#2 Checkout/Payment.aspx - CouponDialog.ascx and CouponDialog.ascx.cs were replaced as above with code from the current R9 version. On this page if you enter a valid coupon code and then hit the enter key, you are taken to the search results page.
My focus is more on front end development, but I have the pleasure of working with our Able Angel Judy on a regular basis. I have tried many approaches to resolve including setting the submit button to the default.
My concern is that the use of the enter key seems to be a really common end user behavior so something like this has the potential to create customer frustration at the risk of a lost sale. What steps can I take to resolve this issue for every affected field throughout the store?
Thanks!

Katie, Three questions on this one
1) Was this fixed for multiple submit forms within R9? (referred to below on Oct1 - for example a page that might have a search form, but also a sign up form or something)
2) Was this fixed for just the store front or also for the Admin Search pages? (and For what release)
3) If this was not in R9, is there a patch for it for a site that's been updated to R9? Or a way for our developer (who is an AbleC partner) to obtain the details of how it was fixed so it could be applied to our site, even if they have to do it themselves? (We don't have R9 yet but are planning on it shortly, unless there is a major conflict found between it and our custom that could introduce more problems than it resolves)
Please let me know, if you can.
Thank you very much!

This is working for me on the latest version of Gold R9. If you have a page with multiple submit forms, then you can have some trouble.

"Enter" support on all fields would be best.
