Create a true one page Checkout
Please bring back the one page checkout like in 7.0.7.

Default Product Option assignment
For Products with Options/Variants, admin should have the ability to assign the default "configuration" if desired. If a default is assigned, those options should be selected when a customer first loads the product page in the store.

Integrate with ShipStation
ShipStation was just purchased by Stamps.com. We use ShipStation to aggregate shipping across five other platforms [BigCommerce, Shopify, Amazon.com, Wish and manual entries].
The only integration missing is our beloved AbleCommerce. It would enable us to get our shipping done so much faster...they have an API...please? [See http://www.shipstation.com/partners/shipstation-api-custom-store/]6 votesUPDATE: Gold R10 was just released with a Shipstation integration.

add dimension variants to product options
you should be able to add dimensions variants as well as weight to a product option, because choosing different options like size also has an affect on shipping dimensions, and there is currently no way to pass anything other than a different weight to the shipping module.

We are looking at this for the next release. Some other enhancements have been made to variants for the upcoming release, so we might be abe to sneak this one in.

Manage Orders: Allow admins to change price on products when adding items to an order for a customer.
Currently, you have to build the order, then defer payment, then edit items to change price, then recalculate taxes/shipping/totals, then finally process a payment. During all of these steps, customers can see incorrect order info, if they are logged in.
It would be nice to act like a "POS price override" to streamline process for Order Admins.

Add Template to Products In Bulk
The template function seems good, but it is tedious to add a particular template to hundred or thousands of products by clicking the add button one-at-a-time in the current template UI. It would be good to add the ability to assign templates by default and also be able to add them in bulk in the Batch Edit screen.

What we have done in Gold R8 is add a new control where you can list the product specials. A special can be time sensitive, so by using the new control and specifying ‘daily specials’, this feature can be considered completed and available in R8.

Email list export options
On sites with larger email lists, it can really cause a timeout problem. I think it would be good to have an option where a merchant can export the email address only rather than all the address information.

It would be good to have ability to search the phone field in user search
A big client of ours has CS reps that need to find a customer quickly so in Able 7, they had us implement a search by phone #. Customer can give the CSR the last 4 digits of the phone, for example, and the customer is very easy to find that way instead of trying to spell names, email addresses, etc over the phone.

Have a notify system to allow customers to be notified when a particular item is back in stock.
Currently a variant that is set to not allow back-order does not appear in the drop down(which I wish was a grid display with stock status) so that would have to be changed so they can see the item they want to be notified about,.

WA state tax report change
It needs to show the total order amount per loc code and not total tax collected as these are the numbers WA state asks for. It needs to be order totals before shipping and tax but after coupons, etc.. I ended up running this SQL statement to get the info for last year.. select LineMessage,sum (ProductSubtotal) from acOrderItems, acOrders where acOrderItems.LineMessage is not null and acOrderItems.OrderID = ac_Orders.OrderID and OrderDate between '2012-01-01' and '2012-12-31' group by LineMessage

Add Special Handling Charge to Variants
It would be great if the special handling charge field was also available as a variant field. The would allow a large/heavy variant to have a separate shipping fee.

Update Data Export/Import
We need (desperately) to be able to import/export Order/Shipments from the cart into our shipping partner's software --- such as WorldShip from UPS.
Katie mentioned this functionality would be ready in late May......

Add a Pick-up In Store Option
We'd like to give our customers the option to pick their order up at the physical store. If the pick-up option is selected, shipping options on the checkout page would not be necessary and should be disabled. Shipping would not be charged on the order.
3 votesJust add a new shipping method named ‘Pick up in store’ and set the value to $0. This will accomplish what you need.

UPC/GTIN Field for Variants
acproducts.gtin field is not enough to control UPC of items with variations. Many apparel companies have unique UPC for different sizes and color. Without UPC field in acproductvariants.GTIN or ac_optionchoices.GTINModifier field, UPC coverage in ablecommerce is incomplete. Please add this feature. It is a easy one.

Export report on every page
Can there be more export buttons on reporting pages (e.g. gift certificates, etc.) not just the few that exist now

{R} on Checkout Pages Should be {*}
I shop a lot online, and I see the {*} indicating required fields all the time. I've never seen "{R}". I think it's better to give the customers what they're used to seeing.

Multiple shipping address option - allow it to be turned off
I would like the ability to turn off the multiple shipping address option so that customers can only ship their order to one address.
Rather than being able to split it up into multiple shipments.
We use the invoice to pull the items on an order and the invoice doesn't split up the items into separate boxes.3 votesThis setting is now avaiilable from the Configure Store page..
