Discounts need to be applied per-variant. My client has different variant package types, which each have a different discount structure.
Think of it like cafepress.com: a men's zipper sweatshirt will have different discounts than a baby bib, but they may both be variatns for the same product.1 vote -
SMS Order Notifications
Would like opt-in customers to get SMS notifications about their order. There are many SMS gateways and would need to be coded to work with the major SMS gateways.

Magnifying Preview Needs to Show Shipping Method
While seeing the contents of the order via the magnifying preview is important we think displaying the shipping method is equally important.

redundant ship & partial ship notification emails
Good day to you!
In my testing, whenever I create a PARTIAL shipment for an order, the email for PARTIAL SHIPMENT and SHIPMENT notifications are both triggered. Is this by design or do I have something misconfigured?

Improve returns processing audit trail and customer order history
When an item is returned in AbleCommerce, the item and its options detail are removed from the order history. This is a poor practice both from a customer service perspective and for accounting audit trail purposes. The original order item detail, as-delivered, should remain intact and include all item options. The returned item should appear as an additional line item with a negative quantity (-n) with a value and a date returned. Both the customer and store admins should be able to see detail for both "item-shipped" and "item-returned".

Show last page viewed and browser used on abandoned basket report
It would be good to show the last page viewed and browser used on the abandoned basket report so merchant might be able to see a pattern in abandonment- were they all mobile browsers, is there a problem with one page?

Make a list of images on each page
I want the images of each page to be uniform. Our website in particular should have at least 2 images on each page. I would like a list similar to the Manage Products list to list the number of images, and the image upload dates. I have noticed that our older images got reformatted to a smaller and pixel-ated form.

List required/available fields on help site for data exchange in admin
Your documentation on the help site is very good, but it seems to be missing a list of required and available fields for the data exchange import. For example, product name is required for import- I had to look at the wiki for the old data port utility to find that out and assume it is the same in Gold.

Option picker in source code
It would sure be great in you would take the option picker thumbnail code out of source code so it can be changes.

Remove drop boxes
1) When using the search, remove the drop down boxes for each sub-type. (Annoyed with this feature for the past 2+ years and should have been changed long ago. Users are unable to 'get used' to this useless feature).
2) When navigating over the page, remove the auto-drop down boxes that always get in the way. Instead, make those buttons show when clicked on (like Windows).1 vote -
Change upgrade/install scripts dealing with SQL statements
While parsing the script UpgradeAC7AC708.sql our upgrade became a trainwreck because GIT incorrectly did us a "favor" by changing the line endings to LFs. The upgrade.cs had a line to split the massive script into pieces based on \r\nGO\r\n which no longer matched and cascaded into a myriad of errors. Perhaps you could split on some other characters such as ^^^?

Adding New Methods to the UPS Online Tool
UPS has a shipping method called SurePost. It has two options, SurePost (1lb to 9lbs) and SurePost (under 1lb)
There is also an international method called UPS Worldwide Saver.
We are requesting that these methods are added to the UPS Online Tool.
This update would benefit us and I would think it would benefit AC if these methods were a part of the UPS tool.

Manually process credit refunds after authorizations have expired
I'm using the Authorize.Net gateway, and would like the option to manually enter a card number to process a refund through Able, rather than having to do it outside of Able directly on Authorize.Net's site. This would make it easier for my users so they don't have to hit Authorize.Net's site and then come over to able and record an 'offline' payment, plus all the info (date & time of transactions) would be recorded for reference in Able.

Fix Bug to Include Shipping address on PayPal transactions
We have been continuing to have an issue with PayPal orders not qualifying for for PayPal's "Seller Protection" because checkout through Able Commerce does not record the Shipping Address associated with the payment. The shipping address provided during checkout is for some reason not being passed on and recorded by PayPal during the processing of the order with Able Commerce. This has been a problem because when a customer issues a claim with PayPal they REQUIRE a recorded shipping address in order to refute the claim. We have lost several PayPal claims we should have won and had evidence to…

Get rid of your GetImage.ashx resizing for product image display
We are starting to have to remove that method and replace with normal image links for sites because when they are resized they cannot be client cached.

Add support for Square payment processor
Square has been around for a while now and they've added an API so they can be integrated into commerce systems. BigCommerce is one of the big ecommerce players that is already providing Square as a processor.
It is natively PCI compliant.
Square is good for many merchants as well as they were the first to provide a card reader that plugs into mobile phones (brilliant). But the nice thing about them that will appeal to many of us is their flat rate structure which is simple to understand and may well be less expensive than other options.

Add ability to link subcategories to more than one category
If someone wants to show a category in several places, he has to copy it and place it in the right category. It would be nice to be able to assign a subcategory to more than one category, like you can products.

Secure all Pages ignore ssl.config
When we switched our store to Secure All Pages it had some issues caused by the ssl.config actually jumping to http: on us. If the whole site is secure then do we need to respect ssl.config settings, and somewhat confusingly at times?

How to produce a list of products without additional pictures...
We have two pictures for every product; one of the container and one of the molecular structure. I am in charge of getting the molecular structure and I'm about 90% (of 530) complete with my list under the "new products" category. Was wondering if there's a quick check to see what other products are missing.
Also, my old pictures uploaded from years ago had been resized and would like to replace them eventually unless there is a way to revert the picture quality.1 vote
