Show out of stock variants
Please show out of stock variants instead of removing them from the available variants. An out of stock message would be great to show the customer the status. On the variant grid display, there needs to be a stock indicator as well.
9 votesYou can show the out-of-stock variants by adding an availability date. In Gold R12, there is a new feature so customers can signup to be notified when the itme is back in stock.
I’m leaving the status of this request as “under review” because we would like to add a store option to show out-of-stock variants without the dependancy on the availability date.

Add support for CDN
It would be nice if AC has the feature to support the use of a CDN for static files (images, js, etc)

Zendesk Helpdesk Integration
It would be great to have an integration between Ablecommerce and Zendesk ( https://www.zendesk.com ) in a similar way to how Magento does it ( https://www.zendesk.com/apps/magento/ ). Being able to see in the Ablecommerce admin the open tickets and ticket history of a customer would be a real timesaver as opposed to having to have both ablecommerce and zendesk screens open and searching for people in both systems. Maybe even down the road open the order notes feature up to being able to create tickets in Zendesk.

Customization of mobile browser detection code
It would be good to have a way to customize what is detected as a mobile device as devices change or a merchant wants something different. Right now it looks like the detection code is in the source code. What about putting it somewhere so that it can be updated by you more easily so merchants can be current? Also, we have a merchant who wants tablets to go to the mobile site and they are not being detected as mobile. (For example, my Kindle FireHD. I had to load another browser to get to mobile sites for testing).

Update Google Merchant Shopping Feed to new specifications. Add UOM next to price
The data requirements for Google Shopping are changing soon. Many new snippets of data are required. One of these is unit of measure that is currently not in the database, but would be nice for our website to have in the display too.

Allow re-usale options.
It would be great if you had a set up where a re-usable option definition can be set up and used on multiple products, like you do kits. For example on a site that sells shoes, there could be reusable options for size.It would make it a lot faster for a merchant to set up products.

Add Discounts when updating an order
It would be great to be able to have the system auto add discounts that apply to a customer when an employee updates an order with adding products. We have wholesale customers that get product discounts, and when creating an order either on the frontend or via the admin, the discounts are automatically added when an item is added. However, a lot of our customers add to their order after it is placed and we have to manually add the discount as an "other item" and manually calculate it. Shipping charge calculation based billing weight rather than actual weight
We currently offer flat rate shipping charge vary by weight which basically uses actual weight of each product. However, it doesn't work well for larger items low density items where dimensional weight becomes more important. There should be "vary by billing weight" method which looks at both cube and weight of a product. Dim weight divisor should be a variable allowing dimensional weight to be calculated using custom divisor (many shippers have contracts with custom dim weight divisor). Secondly, issue I see is in rate shopper from say fedex. It needs to use billing weight when pulling rates from the…

Allow a gift cert be allowed for payment after original payemnt
Many times customer will forget to use their gift cert and ask us to apply it after the order is entered with another form of payment. It is quite time consuming to search for their gift cert and then manually adjust the balance then enter the new payment. Be nice if it would treat just as it does if its entered at first payment by the customer.

Mobile Admin
It would be great to have a mobile admin site to be able to administer orders, make basic product changes (description, quantity, visibility, price), run reports.

Hold emails in a queue until sent such as in the case of a mail server offline
If the email server is rebooted, or being upgraded, etc. etc. AbleCommerce errors out when sending an email. This occurs in 707, I don't know if it's in GOLD but I assume it's the same. Instead, it would be a much better solution of emails were cached (queued) and removed when sent successfully. This would ensure drop shippers (vendors) never miss an order notification, a customer always gets their information, etc.

Allow us the option in SEO settings on what the HTTP response code is
For our use we do NOT want 301 or 302 response codes. This causes a major problem as if you do away with a custom URL the previous URL will be dead. While I know you are doing this for SEO, you are hard coding something against our needs. Please add an option to the SEO settings area just like asp.net's url rewrite offers for how to process the redirection, i.e. a simple response.redirect or any of the available HTTP response options. Easy fix, keeps it flexible for all.

An ideal integration between Ablecommerce and StitchLabs would be:
Bi-Directional Order Management
Orders placed in Ablecommerce sync with StitchLabs
Orders updated in StitchLabs update in Ablecommerce
As the order goes through the processes in StitchLabs, billed, payed, packed, shipped, allow the ability to trigger order status updates in Ablecommerce
When the order is placed in Ablecommerce, not only create the order in StitchLabs, but also invoice it and bill it.
Bi-Directional Contact Management
Customers created in Ablecommerce (not anonymous user records created) also get created in StitchLabs

Respond to a product review
It would be great if the store admin could post a respond to a customer review that shows up under the review.

Enhance user freindliness at checkout when payemnt fails.
When page is set to create an order even if payment was not good the customer gets a "success" response even though it failed. Payments fail for address mismatches or card info incorrect(date and cvv). I tried to do the not allow an order to be created without good payment but found so many customers were lost where I could at least salvage most with some effort on the create option. I believe we need better handling of these failed attempts. For example the page telling them why the payment declined and allowing them to change the bad information. Now…

Custom User Fields - Maybe User Group Templates
It would be nice to easily comfigure additional User Fields through UI.
Additional User data like "How did you hear about us?" is vital for online marketing efforts.
Perhaps an implementation like Product Templates that could be assigned to specific User Groups. Along that mindset,
Within "Merchant" and "User" fields, allow for settings like:
? Viewable by User?
? Editable by User?
? Is required?Support for related tasks would also be nice: searches, reports, import/export, etc.
I realize this can be done programmatically using ac_UserSettings table, but a supported UI would be helpful.

Add Description field in Product Feeds section of Product Management Page
I would like a textarea in the Product Feeds section of the Edit Product Page, that would allow me to enter a description for the google product feed. If the box is empty, then use the product description field to fill it. This way I can have a product description for Google that doesnt have any markup or extra text in it.
